Additionally, the regional doctoral program in nursing is authorized to grant the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing in several Western states (i.e., Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington). The regional doctoral program offered in Tacoma, Washington, requires us to provide students with the following information:
Oregon Health & Science University is authorized by the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree Authorization Act. This authorization is valid until July 11, 2007 and authorized Oregon Health & Science University to offer the following degree: Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing.
