The on-campus doctoral program is authorized by the Oregon University System Chancellor's Office P. O. Box 751, Portland, Ore., 97207-0751, 503 725-5700, or http://www.ous.edu and is accreditation by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCU) through 2015.

The regional doctoral program in nursing is authorized to grant the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing in several Western states (i.e., Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Washington). The regional doctoral program offered in Tacoma, Washington, requires us to provide students with the following information:

Oregon Health & Science University is authorized by the Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board and meets the requirements and minimum educational standards established for degree-granting institutions under the Degree Authorization Act. This current authorization is valid until December 12, 2011, and authorizes Oregon Health & Science University to offer the following degree: Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing.
