ACLS, BLS, PALS
All residents and fellows must have BLS certification at all times and many residents/fellows must also have ACLS, PALS or NRP. To learn which certification is required, please contact your program coordinator or GME.
The GME Office will pay for all of these courses in advance if you identify yourself as a resident or fellow upon registration. To get a textbook, show your OHSU ID badge at the OHSU bookstore and they will bill GME directly.
ACLS & BLS courses at OHSU are offered through the Department of Emergency Medicine. Both classroom and online refresher courses are regularly available. A skills demonstration to complete the online training is offered monthly. AHA materials (ECC Handbook or ACLS Manual) may be ordered. Visit the ACLS webpage to register. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 4-7500 for more information.
Register for a PALS course at OHSU through the Department of Pediatrics and download the registration form. The registration form should be sent to Katy Campbell at mail code CDRC-P or via fax 503-494-1542.
