Meet the Associate Dean
Dr. Patrick Brunett is Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the OHSU School of Medicine. Dr. Brunett is also Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and chair of the School of Medicine undergraduate Curriculum Committee. He received his BA from UCLA and his MD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Brunett is a graduate of the American College of Emergency Physicians Teaching Fellowship and has served on the Council of EM Residency Directors (CORD) Academic Assembly Program Committe and the Ethics in Resident Recruitment Task Force.
Dr. Brunett was instrumental in creating the EM Education Research Fellowship at OHSU and has expanded his program's use of evidence-based medicine and medical simulation as educational tools. He has been recognized with the School of Medicine's Faculty Mentor of the Year Award, Faculty Excellence in Education Award, and J. David Bristow Award, the CORD 2011 Impact Award, and twice as his department's Academic Instructor of the Year.
