Course Description

We are proud to present the 73rd Annual Sommer Memorial Lectures and the Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine Alumni Scientific Session. 

This activity brings nationally and internationally-know speakers to discuss a broad range of current clinical, research and societal issues in medicine. Topics are designed to be of interest and value to both the generalist and the specialty physician.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:

Recognize, diagnose, and treat dementia and cognitive decline in the elderly

Better manage patients with Hepatitis C

Understand how and when the latest endoscopic equipment and techniques can help in challenging gastrointestinal disorders

Develop a better understanding of how health care providers think and how it impacts patients

Understand the potential of targeted cancer therapies

Demonstrate awareness of recently developed treatment strategies in pancreatic cancer
