What is Performance Improvement CME?

Performance Improvement (PI) CME activities are structured, 3-stage activities comprised of:

  • Education about specific performance measures
  • Assessment of practice using the selected performance measures
  • Implementation of  interventions to improve practice over a specific interval of time
  • Reassessment of practice using the same performance measures. 

A PI CME activity may address any structure, process or outcome of a clinician's practice with direct impact on patient care.

Credit

The School of Medicine, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

American Medical Association: Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education designates this PI-CME activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
