Interest and Accomplishments:
Carl Jenson is the medical director of Bay Area Hospital Radiation Oncology Center. He interned at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA, and trained in Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI serving as Chief Resident his last year. He moved to Fargo, ND, and helped establish a new radiation oncology center. Innovations included intraoperative radiation and 3-dimensional compensation for breast, head and neck, and other tumors. He then moved to Coos Bay with his family, and in 2001 the cancer center performed the first IMRT treatment in Oregon.
Dr. Jenson’s interests include hiking, white water rafting, riding his motorcycle, and experimenting with his Southern Pride professional smoker to make food taste even better.
