Q & A With Dr. Dennis McCarty: Envisioning a Chronic Care Model for Addiction Treatment
Dennis McCarty, PhD, Professor, Department of Public Health & Preventive Medicine, is head of the department's Division of Health Services Research. With over 35 years in the field, Dr. McCarty is a visionary in addictions treatment research. Through collaboration with colleagues in the department, policy makers in state and local government, and practitioners in community treatment programs, Dr. McCarty seeks to increase support for the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse, improve the quality of treatment services, and link policy, practice, and research.
