Education Programs

Welcome to the Education Program pages of the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.  We provide the epidemiology and biostatistics curriculum for the OHSU School of Medicine, and for the tri-campus Oregon MPH Program.  Our faculty maintain a broad scope of courses and training opportunities in medicine and public health that cover a large array of methodological and topic-oriented courses.   We are committed to excellence in teaching and our accomplishments have received national recognition in recent years.  Our Department's training program in public health and  its residency in preventive medicine ranked second in the 2006 US News & World Report graduate school survey; and in 2004, the Department received the 2004 Outstanding Educational Program of the Year Award from the Association of Teachers of Preventive Medicine.

We offer a CEPH-accredited Master in Public Health degree in epidemiology and biostatistics, a graduate Certificate in Biostatistics, an MS/MBST in Biostatistics, and an accredited residency program in Preventive Medicine.  We also over specialty training, including summer research training institutes in epidemiology research methods and biostatistics.

We invite you to read about us here on our Web pages, and to contact us for more information.
