PHPM 555 Nutritional Epidemiology

Course Description Measurement of nutritional intake and physical health, nature of variation in diet. Short-term and long-term recall of diet. Surrogate sources of dietary information, biochemical indicators of dietary intake. Anthropometric measures and body composition with regard to human health. Examples of the relationship of nutrient intake to specific cancers, heart disease, and hypertension will be explored.
