PHPM 518 Concepts of Environmental Health
Course Description This course will introduce graduate students in the MPH program to the basic concepts and issues of environmental health problems. The course is intended for students who are not environmental health majors. Topics include environmental toxicology, risk assessment, occupational health, indoor and outdoor air pollution, food and milk sanitation, drinking water safety, sewage disposal, solid waste disposal, hazardous wastes, public health pests and pesticides, ionizing and nonionizing radiation effects, and ethical aspects of environmental health.

Prerequisite - Matriculation into the MPH program.
