Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) Clinical Workshop

December 10 - 11, 2012

ADOS-2 Clinical Training Description

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) improves an instrument already viewed as the gold standard for observational assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This
2-day workshop will instruct you on how to use the ADOS-2 to assess and diagnose autism.

Our experienced workshop leader will describe the ADOS-2 and demonstrate administration and scoring, operationalizing diagnostic criteria for ASD. During this workshop, you will have the opportunity to practice scoring while observing the instructor administer the ADOS-2 to subjects with ASD.

This workshop will focus primarily on Modules 1 through 4. Attendees will be given pre-course materials to review prior to the course, and upon completion of the workship, will be given materials to study in order to complete training.

Who Should Attend?

Clinicians who evaluate children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and have a prior background in autism and formal testing, including physicians, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and early intervention assessment specialists. This workshop is strongly recommended for those intending to use the instrument in clinical practice.

For researchers, this workshop is a prerequisite to more thorough training being offered to a limited number of participants, December 14 - 15, 2012. Please contact our Program Coordinator, Marie Fleischmann, by e-mail: fleiscma@ohsu.edu for more information.
