Biography: 
Dr. Indest is the Psychology Training Director at the Portland VA Medical Center, overseeing the Internship and Postdoctoral programs. He is a national HIV and Ethics Trainer for the American Psychological Association’s HIV Office of Psychology Education (HOPE). From 2003 to 2009, he served as the Program Manager of the Northwest Hepatitis C Resource Center (NWHCRC) at the Portland VA, working with the VA’s National Hepatitis C Program to develop best practices in the care of patients with HCV. Dr. Indest’s commitment to integrated care comes from two decades of working in the prevention and treatment of HIV, HCV, and other chronic illnesses. His specialties are behavioral medicine, public health, organizational change, human sexuality, and applied clinical research.
