About Us

Psychologists and neuroscientists in the Division are engaged in extensive, extramurally funded research. The key research programs include ADHD, adolescent brain development and alcoholism risk, methamphetamine addiction, immunology and depression, pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, and suicide prevention.

Three formal administrative units organize most of the psychologists on the campus:

1. The VA Psychology Department has over 30 clinical psychologists, many affiliated with the Psychology Division in the Department of Psychiatry at OHSU.

2. The Psychology Division at the OHSU Institute on Development and Disability has over a dozen clinical psychologists, many of whom are also affiliated with the Psychology Division in the Department of Psychiatry.

3. The Psychology Division in the Department of Psychiatry. Our division includes psychologists with primary appointments in Psychiatry as well as with primary appointments elsewhere on campus including the Departments of Behavioral Neuroscience, Anesthesiology, Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, and Neurology, as well as at the School of Nursing.
