At the Avel Gordly Center for Healing part of our mission is to provide trainings for other healthcare and social service providers about  sensitive and culturally-responsive treatment for African-Americans.

Afrocentric Approaches to Clinical Practice

We offer a training called “Afrocentric Approaches to Clinical Practice” that is approximately 6 hours long, but can be offered in components at a minimum of 3 hours. We can also come to academic settings and provide 60 – 90 minute customized lectures for students.
