7/12/10 Norwood Knight-Richardson, M.D., M.B.A. joins the OHSU executive leadership team

Norwood Knight-Richardson, M.D., M.B.A., a member of the OHSU Department of Psychiatry faculty since 2003, appointed to the OHSU executive leadership team as vice president and chief administrative officer on July 1, 2010.

In his role as chief administrative officer, Dr. Knight-Richardson will oversee facility operations, campus planning and real estate, central human resources, Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity, and will serve as chief diversity officer. Norwood has a joint master’s degree in international law and diplomacy from Harvard/Tufts universities and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business in addition to his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School. He joined OHSU in 2003. He is the director of the OHSU Public Psychiatry Training Program, director of the telemedicine program, medical director of the Gordly Center for Healing  and has served on the board for the National Institute of Mental Health. He also teaches a course in cultural competency at OHSU and chaired the committee on cultural competency for the President’s national New Freedom Commission. He will remain vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry and continue some of his administrative and clinical duties on a reduced basis.
