Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery
The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery division of the department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at OHSU has coordinated a multidisciplinary program for pelvic floor disorders in women. It combines contributions from the departments of colorectal surgery, physical therapy, gastroenterology, neurophysiology, radiology ad women's health counseling. The Urogynecology division provides the initial comprehensive consultation and complete physical exam and offers the diagnostic procedures of multichannel urodynamic testing, cystourethroscopy and endoanal ultrasound. Pelvic floor neurophysiologic testing, such as pudendal nerve conduction studies and pelvic floor EMG, is also available. Patient therapies include counseling regarding lifestyle changes, medications, pessaries, vaginal prostheses, periurethral collagen injections in addition to surgical repair of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse.
