Pediatric

The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery led by Nathan Selden, MD, PhD is dedicated to the highest quality of referral care for brain, spine, peripheral nerve and neurovascular diseases in infants, children and adolescents. The Division is also committed to basic and clinical research for the betterment of disease treatment in these areas. Division members participate in outreach and education for patients, families and referring physicians around the state of Oregon and in southwest Washington. Finally, the Division is responsible for medical student and resident education in pediatric neurosurgery at Oregon Health & Science University.

Pediatric Neurosurgery Clinical Programs

The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery provides comprehensive clinical care for a wide range of neurosurgical diseases in infants, children and adolescents. A number of our programs offer interdisciplinary care for complex neurosurgical diseases, in cooperation with other departments in the Doernbecher Children's Hospital, OHSU, Child Development and Rehabilitation Center (CDRC), OHSU and the Shriner's Hospital for Children - Portland. Our clinical programs include:
