DIRECTOR OF THE MOVEMENT DISORDERS PROGRAM

The OHSU Department of Neurology is recruiting for a mid to senior level board certified neurologist to become Director of its Movement Disorders Program.  The Program has six clinician scientists, an active clinical research program and a robust fellowship program.  Resources include the Parkinson Center of Oregon, A Department of Veterans Parkinson Disease Research, Education and Clinical Center (PADRECC), a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, A Udall Center in collaboration with the University of Washington, a large referral base with busy clinics, vigorous deep brain stimulation and botulinum toxin programs, an internationally recognized gait and balance program, and outstanding Department of Neurology and a superb basic neurosciences community at OHSU.  Candidates should be movement disorder specialists, have a funded research program and possess the skill and desire to assume leadership of on of the finest movement disorders programs in the country.

EPILEPTOLOGIST

OREGON HEALTH & SCIENCE UNIVERSITY
DEPARTMENT OF NEUROLOGY

The OHSU Department of Neurology is recruiting a full-time assistant professor to join a well established and growing Epilepsy Center. The OHSU Epilepsy Center is Oregon’s premier referral program with seven full or part-time epileptologists and an epilepsy/clinical neurophysiology fellowship program. Clinical duties will include evaluations in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, EEG laboratory, and epilepsy outpatient clinic. Applicants should have interest in developing an independent research program, and protected time and training will be available.  Additional clinical and research opportunities are available through the affiliated Portland VAMC Epilepsy Center of Excellence.   The epilepsy center is actively engaged in teaching of medical students, residents, and at the postgraduate and community level.   Portland is a wonderful place to live.

ACADEMIC POSITION -NEUROINTENSIVIST

The OHSU Department of Neurology is recruiting neurointensivists to join the OHSU Neurosciences Critical Care Program at the Assistant Professor to Professor level. The Program includes a 22-bed NeuroICU, attended by our multidisciplinary neurocritical care team. Responsibilities include attending in the NeuroICU, directing the neurocritical care fellowship program, teaching fellows, residents and medical students, and developing a funded research program related to critical care neurology. A close partnership exists with the OHSU Oregon Stroke Center, recognized as a national leader in acute stroke treatment, which includes a state-of-the-art Telemedicine Network. The Department of Neurology is one of the nation’s leading neurologic research and training programs and provides the most comprehensive care of neurologic illnesses in the Pacific Northwest.

Candidates should be board certified or board eligible neurologists who are certified or eligible for certification in Neurocritical Care. Interest in clinical research is preferred. Salary, academic rank and administrative responsibilities will be consistent with individual training and accomplishment.
