Junior or mid-faculty position for an Alzheimer's and dementia specialist
Oregon Health &Science University, Department of Neurology is recruiting a full time neurologist for the Layton Aging & Alzheimer's Disease Center. The Layton Center is one of 30 NIH Alzheimer's Disease Centers in the United States and the only one of its kind in Oregon. As an active participant in national and international efforts to understand and develop treatments for Alzheimer's disease, the Layton Center conducts studies of promising treatments, technologies for patient support, genetics, neuroimaging and pathology.
Position duties include leading the clinical trials program; participate in outpatient clinics; teach medical students, neurology residents, and geriatric neurology fellows; possible inpatient attending rotations. For mid-level faculty with clinical trials experience the position includes a leadership role as the Director of the Clinical Care and Therapeutics Program. This position includes the opportunity to develop and maintain a funded research program. Candidate should be board certified or eligible in Neurology and fellowship trained in Geriatric Neurology, Dementia or Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology and have experience in clinical trials. The OHSU Department of Neurology is one of the nation's leading neurologic research and training programs, and provides the most comprehensive care of neurologic illnesses in the Pacific Northwest in a large multi-subspecialty clinical practice which includes over 40 neurologists.
