Dr. Smith is dedicated to providing in-office care of our veteran population combined with frequent hospital based rheumatology consult attending duties. He encourages both preventative health and traditional treatment concepts in our rheumatology training and also emphasizes helpful anatomy-based rheumatology concepts. He enjoys teaching practical procedures such as soft tissue and joint aspiration/injection techniques to the medicine residents and rheumatology fellows.
Previous publications include several on common upper and lower extremity bursitis syndromes and use of the human skeleton as a teaching tool.
