OHSU

Welcome New Interns!

Welcome Letter

Preferred Name Format (due ASAP)

Please email me at sturgilh@ohsu.edu with your preferred name format, as you wish it to appear on your business cards. If you are changing your name in the coming months, give me the new name as it is difficult to change names in the university system and Epic.

Clinic Selection (due March 31, 2011)

Please email me at sturgilh@ohsu.edu with your clinic preferences. You have 19 points to assign between the three clinics. You must give at least one point to each clinic you are willing to work at. Give the most points to your preferred clinic and the least to your least favorite clinic. For example, if you have your heart set on South Waterfront,  you might assign your points SWF 17pts, GP 1pt, RHC 1pt. On the other hand, if you have no strong preference, you might rank the clinics SWF 8pts, RHC 6pts, GP 5pts.

Once all of your class have responded, I will announce the clinic assignments so that as many people as possible get their preferred clinics. The following is some information about the clinics to help you make your decisions. Also contact residents and faculty with any questions you have. Please note: Combined Program Residents are normally assigned different clinics.

Rotation Line Ranking (due March 31, 2011)

Now that you've assigned points to your clinics, please look at the rotation lines below and rank them 1-12, beginning with your preferred clinic. You may either email me your list using the line codes (GP-1, for example) or write your name and your rankings on the page itself and send it to me as an attachment. I will try to given everyone their first choice for the clinic to which they are assigned, but of course that is not always possible.
