Bhavaya Sachdeva, MPH, joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2012. She is working on two grants in the Department of Family Medicine - one as the Project Coordinator on the CALM CARE grant (PI: Roger Garvin, MD) and the other as the Project Coordinator for the DATA Initiative (PI: Scott Fields, MD). The CALM CARE grant focuses on preparing residents to care for the mental health needs of underserved and vulnerable patients as well as creating a comprehensive system to capture documentation for patients with depression in the EHR.  The DATA Initiative grant concentrates on utilizing data for quality improvement and health delivery, as well as educating faculty and residents on data acquisition and systems analysis. Bhavaya is also the Project Manager for the Data Team at FM. She completed an internship for her MPH degree and later worked at the Community Health Centers of Lane County before coming to OHSU. Bhavaya worked on Quality Improvement projects as well as projects related to transitioning to a Medical Home Model. She earned her Master of Public Health degree at OHSU and attended the University of Oregon for her Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Business Administration.
