Meg Hayes, MD, specializes in Adoption Medicine including prenatal and maternity care; infant, child and adolescent development; infectious diseases; effects of substance abuse during pregnancy; transition issues and family bonding. She has performed health assessments of orphans world wide. As a result, she is familiar with the conditions of orphanages in many countries, including specific regional medical conditions, institutional developmental delay and special-needs issues.
