Dr. Dorr earned his BA in Economics (with minors in Mathematics and Psychology) and his MD from Washington University in St. Louis. He then completed Internal Medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University, and earned a Master's in Medical Informatics and Health Services Administration from the University of Utah. Broadly, Dr. Dorr's interests lie in complex care management, especially for older adults and other at-risk populations, coordination of care, collaborative care, chronic disease management, quality, and the requirements of clinical information systems to support these areas. From these interests, he has broadened into clinical information needs, Electronic Health Record (EHR) deployment and Health Information Exchange as a way to expand systems-based approaches to all of health care. Finally, Dr. Dorr performs evaluations of care management and informatics initiatives using a variety of methodologies. In his spare time, he is an avid bicyclist and completed Cycle Oregon 2016, riding over 450 miles across the southern coast.

Michelle Bobo joined the Care Management Plus team in October of 2020 as a Senior Research Assistant and Practice Facilitator. She has a M.S. in Biomedical Informatics from OHSU and a personal commitment to supporting the technology needs of health care providers. She also has a particularly strong professional interest in quality assurance and process improvement. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys a variety of interests and hobbies including crafts and sewing, gardening, and fitness.

Gina joined the Care Management Plus team in February of 2023 as a Research Project Coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Northern Arizona University, and a Master’s of Science in Experimental Psychology from Central Washington University. Prior to her arrival at OHSU, she worked at the University of Washington managing the research portfolio of the School of Medicine’s Regional Epilepsy Center at Harborview. Here at OHSU, Gina’s time is split between Dr. Dorr’s eCarePlan project in the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE) and his FHIR Starters project within the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (OCTRI). Beyond her research background, Gina has experience in professional event coordination and community mental healthcare. When she is not working, she sings, plays guitar, and performs original music at venues around town. She has one dog named after “That Girl” Marlo Thomas.

CG’s primary role is providing support to Dr. Dorr and they serve as the first point of contact for the CMP Team. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Film with a minor in English. In their role, CG serves as the team’s administrative swiss army knife, from addressing scheduling needs, to managing tech support, to handling purchase requests. CG has a wide range of experience that includes providing audio/visual support for anti-racist seminars, acting as direct in-home support for youth with developmental disabilities, and volunteering their skills as a photographer for queer foster youth. CG is interested in DEI and ensuring fair, equitable, and compassionate care for their trans siblings, as well as ensuring equitable and accessible healthcare for people from historically marginalized communities. While not at work, CG enjoys reading comics, watching movies, and hanging out with their calico.

Emma holds a BS in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology from The University of Mississippi, and an MS in Health Studies from the University of Memphis. Emma previously worked as a Sr. Clinical Research Assistant in the OHSU and VA Departments of Neurology with the Multiple Sclerosis centers. She managed several clinical trials for people with MS, coordinated educational symposiums, and provided support on various projects for multiple PIs. Prior to working at OHSU, she was an intern at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital focusing on balance impairment in survivors of pediatric brain tumors. Emma is interested in research focusing on quality of life and expanding healthcare access to underserved and vulnerable populations. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, yoga, reading, and spending time with her cat, Luna.

MJ Dunne joined the Care Management Plus team in August or 2020 as a Senior Research Project Manager. She holds a Master’s in Health Communication and a Bachelor’s in Social Science. In her role she manages the CMP team, serves as point person on all associated projects, grants, and contracts, and collaborates with internal and external partners to meet project deadlines and deliverables. MJ has a professional interest in achieving health equity for vulnerable populations, improving health disparities for sexual and gender minorities, critical theory, the social determinants of health, and research dissemination best practices.  In her spare time she enjoys playing with her daughter, exploring Oregon, dragon boat racing, and volunteering at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). 

Chris joined the Care Management Plus team in December of 2019 as a Senior Research Assistant. He holds a Master of Biomedical Informatics degree from Oregon Health & Science University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Whitman College. He provides support for the team’s work to develop a clinical decision support tool for hypertension. Chris is interested in research focused on health equity and education, mobile health, data quality, and social determinants of health. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, kayaking, hiking, board games, and Dungeons & Dragons.

Joni joined the Care Management Plus team in March of 2018 as an Administrative Assistant for Dr. David Dorr and the CMP team.  Joni has worked in the health care field for the past 25 years in various capacities.  Her background includes rural medical network recruiting, accounting, billing and coding and office manager.  Joni loves interacting with people and working as a team member to improve and enhance any work environment.  She enjoys spending time with her family, including her two grandchildren, playing the piano, reading and swimming.

Christie joined the CMP team in 2018 as a Project Manager after earning her PhD in Neuroscience from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR. Christie manages CMP’s suite of projects, including federally funded grants, collaborations with the Oregon Health Authority, and collaborations with internal and external partners, all which strive to improve the lives of Oregonians in need. Christie has interest in healthcare quality and policy, dissemination and implementation, and improving access to healthcare and healthcare outcomes in vulnerable communities. When she’s not at work, Christie enjoys camping, attending as many music festivals as possible, walking her dog, speaking French, and eating snacks.

Sumeet Singh is a research assistant for Care Management Plus and has interest in healthcare quality, health equity, and primary care practice transformation. As a Comprehensive Primary Care Plus (CPC+) practice facilitator, she provides technical assistance to Oregon primary care practices participating in CPC+, a national advanced medical home model.  Sumeet is from India, where she earned her M.B.B.S. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her two dogs. 

Nicholas joined the Care Management Plus team in August 2015. He holds a Masters of Arts in Biomedical Sciences from Midwestern University and Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon. Nicholas is a Senior Research Assistant for the team, in this role he has provided technical assistance around clinical quality measures and HIT related issues for primary care clinics participating in the Healthy Hearts Northwest initiative and contributed to consultation services for Oregon Health Authority in regards to the development of the Clinical Quality Metrics Registry. Prior to joining the team, Nicholas worked as Administrator for a non-profit organization providing residential services to adults with development disabilities. Nicholas is interested in improving the delivery and quality of care for at-risk/vulnerable adult populations. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors with the goal of seeing every national park of the United States.

Doug, a Senior Systems Architect, joined the Care Management Plus team as a contractor in 2008, moving into a full OHSU employee role in 2010. His expertise covers all things data-related, and he supports the team by developing specialized tools and applications for projects such as Care Management Plus, the Integrated Care Coordination Information System (ICCIS), the Knight Cardiovascular Institute (KCVI), the Commonwealth Fund, and Healthy Hearts Northwest. Doug earned his technical degree in the 1980s, lives at the Oregon Coast, and enjoys fishing, engineering, repairing, and building.

Bhavaya joined Care Management Plus in February 2015. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from OHSU and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Business Administration from the University of Oregon. She is the Program Manager for the team, providing leadership and oversight to all grants and projects, with a more involved role in the CPC initiative, H2N, Improving Implementation of Risk Prediction in Primary Care, and TOPMED. She is responsible for strategic planning, collaborating with external research partners, managing the team, and overseeing operations.

She previously worked as a Project Manager in the Department of Family Medicine at OHSU. She managed operations for the Data Team, and coordinated multiple grants related to using data for quality improvement and health delivery, preparing residents to care for the mental health needs of patients, and improving documentation for depression in the EHR. Bhavaya also has previous clinical experience in an Urgent Care setting, as well as with quality improvement and Medical Home transition projects at a CHC. She is passionate about pediatric global health and working with underprivileged youth. Bhavaya grew up in Eugene, Oregon and enjoys traveling, trying new vegetarian cuisine, hiking, cooking, and dessert and wine tasting.
