Biography

Dr. Kalpathy-Cramer is a DMICE instructor at OHSU. From 2006-2009, she was a National Library of Medicine Post-Doctoral Fellow in DMICE. Prior to joining the department of medical informatics at OHSU, she had worked for many years in the semiconductor industry. Her current area of research is in the use of image processing and machine learning techniques for medical image analysis and retrieval, imaging for radiation therapy and survival analysis for cancer. Her interests include information retrieval and statistical modeling.

She earned her B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India, her M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA, and her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA.
