Eric is currently a pre-doctoral National Library of Medicine (NLM) fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics &Clinical Epidemiology at OHSU. Previously, he completed both a mathematics and a biochemistry degree at the University of Oklahoma. His dissertation research involves furthering the development of ecological networks to help study and understand microbial communities of the human microbiome. More contextually, he is exploring the micro-ecological networks of female urogenital microbes and how they are associated with overactive bladder syndrome. Eric is also interested in promoting open science, scientific programming literacy and best practices through events hosted by BioData Club.
