David Gibbs is a Pre-Doc NLM Fellow in the Dept. of Biomedical Informatics & Clinical Epidemiology (Bioinformatics track) at OHSU. His research interests lie in using computational methods in statistics and biology to further understand genomic variation. Currently, he has been investigating DNA copy number variation and its role in disease using SNP array data. He was awarded a BA in Chemistry from Reed College, then worked as an analytical chemist before returning to school and studying Computer Science at Portland State University.
