Biography
Dr. Bankhead graduated with a PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in 2006 from the University of Idaho with an emphasis in modeling cancer as an evolutionary system. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in systems biology at Merck & Co., Inc. in Seattle, where he was co-mentored by Dr. Robert Gentleman at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. His postdoctoral research was focused on computational analysis in oncology and cardiovascular drug development. He has experience with a diverse array of high-throughput data types including genome-scale siRNA screens, phospho-proteomic and gene expression data for the modeling of regulatory networks.
