Women's Imaging
Clinical Description
The Women's Imaging section of Diagnostic Radiology offers a full range of services for breast, gynecologic and obstetric Imaging. Breast imaging services include screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and interventional procedures. The multidisciplinary breast center is located on the 7th floor of Kohler Pavilion, in the Center for Women's Health. Gynecologic imaging is performed in conjunction with the body imaging section and includes female pelvis imaging using ultrasound, fluoroscopy, CT and MRI. In addition, pelvic procedures such as 3D sonohysterography and fluoroscopic hysterography, are offered for the evaluation of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes. Indication for these procedures include abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine anomalies, infertility and fallopian tube evaluation after placement of nonsurgical permanent sterilization devices (Adiana and Essure devices). Obstetrical imaging, including fetal MRI and 3D ultrasound, is offered in general radiology and at the OHSU Perinatal Center, located on the fourth floor of the Physician's Pavilion.
The radiologists in the Women's Imaging section are board certified subspecialists dedicated to women's health. We are actively involved in research and teaching within OHSU, nationally and internationally. We work closely with clinicians in many departments including obstetrics and gynecology, family practice, midwifery, surgery and oncology. Most importantly, we interact with our patients and we guide them through imaging and procedures with care and attention.
