Dr. Andrew Neice gets published and files a patent

02/23/15  Portland, OR

Please join me in congratulating Dr. Andrew Neice on having a paper recently published and a patent filed on an invention:

1.  The study conducted in collaboration with colleagues at UCSF "Fentanyl, an agonist at the mu opioid receptor, depresses pupillary unrest" was recently accepted for publication in Autonomic Neuroscience: Basic and Clinical. I attach a copy of the manuscript.

2.  A Design brief of the invention "The retreating stop needle guide as an alternative to variable angle needle guides" was published in the Journal of Medical Devices. Here's a link to the report: http://medicaldevices.asmedigitalcollection.asme.org/issue.aspx. OHSU has already issued a provisional patent for the design for a year, which will likely be converted to a utility application.
