Congratulations to Dr. Jeff Illiff
06/12/15 Portland, OR
I am delighted to announce that Dr. Jeff Iliff, Assistant Professor of APOM and the Knight Cardiovascular Institute, has received word that his R01 grant application to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke has been approved for funding. Jeff's proposal will investigate changes in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow after traumatic brain injury (TBI), and their role in delayed cognitive impairment after TBI. The R01 grant is the National Institute of Health flagship mechanism for supporting independent scientific investigations. Jeff was supported by a mentored career development grant from the American Heart Association. With the R01, he starts a new phase in his research as an independent investigator. This is an outstanding achievement in the current funding environment. Please join me in congratulating Jeff.
