Biography

Ron Sakaguchi is Professor in the Division of Management in OHSU's School of Medicine. He has a PhD in biomaterials and biomechanics from the University of Greenwich, in London, England; an MS in prosthodontics from the University of Minnesota; a DDS from Northwestern University; and a BS in cybernetics/systems science from UCLA.

In 2008 he completed an MBA at Babson College in Wellesley, MA with a focus on entrepreneurship, graduating with summa cum laude honors. Ron brings a clinical, research and management background to the courses he teaches in the MS and MBA programs, which include marketing and innovation, strategic decision making, and the six-month capstone experiences.

Prior to joining the division of management, he was the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the OHSU School of Dentistry. He has published over 120 peer reviewed articles and abstracts and has been funded by the NIH since 1992. A new edition of his Elsevier textbook on biomaterials was just released.
