Gudrun is the CEO and founder of Box One, Inc., an organization that provides custom financial training for companies and universities, with a focus on the medical and biotech market. For the past 25 years her training has centered on helping session participants understand and use financial information, connect strategy and finance, and understand how their decisions and actions impact the financials. Gudrun brings to each session the practical, real-world experience of a seasoned CFO, blended with a great desire to financially empower managers and help participants enjoy the process of discovering "what's behind the numbers." She received her BA from Harvard University and her MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Over the years she has delivered university training programs such as Health Care Finance, Physicians Executive Leadership Program, Financial Issues in Health Care, Financial Management in Health Care Organizations, and Financial Decision Making for Health Care Managers. Her clients for custom in-house programs in the medical industry include UCSD, Children's Hospital of San Diego, UCI Management Development Program in Health Care, American Medical Group Association, Sharp Hospital, American Psychiatric Association, FHP (merged with PacifiCare), Sun Healthcare Group, St. Joseph's Hospital and Children's Hospital of Orange County.
