Admission Requirements for the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management Program:

• A completed application (follow instructions to create a first time user account) with $25 non-refundable application fee. Please make sure you do not apply for the Biomedical Informatics Certificate by mistake. Select the Healthcare Management Certificate application.
• At least 2 years of professional experience
• Students are required to have earned a bachelors degree or RN.
• For non-native speakers of English, a score of 625 or better on the TOEFL examination (paper-based test). Individual courses are open to interested persons without the need to matriculate into the degree or certificate programs. Enrollment is available to any qualified student.
• Students are required to provide transcripts from each college or university attended (this includes community colleges)
• Provide one recommendation letter.

Admissions Requirements for the Master of Science in Healthcare Management Degree Program:

Please note that the MS in Healthcare Management degree program is only offered on a part-time basis. Most of our students are working while pursuing their degree.

• Complete the MS in Healthcare Management application form.
• $65 nonrefundable application fee, which is valid for one year and cannot be waived or deferred
• Official transcripts from every college or university attended (this includes community colleges)
• OHSU will provide transcripts for any courses taken at OHSU prior to applying for matriculation. Please indicate OHSU courses in the Academic History section of the application.
• A bachelor's, masters or doctoral degree from an accredited institution
• A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0
• A minimum of two years of full-time work experience-preferably at the professional, supervisory or managerial level-in a healthcare, technical, scientific, business, or related area
• Two letters of recommendation, one of which should come from an employer or supervisor
• GMAT or GRE scores are required, however students who graduate from the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Management with a GPA of 3.25 or greater will not be required to take the GRE/GMAT.
• Recommended TOEFL score of 625 (paper-based test) if English is not the applicant's first language. Scores are not required for students who earned an undergraduate degree in the United States, or who have worked for a business for at least two years and where the primary business language is English.
• Students may apply for admission to the M.S. in Healthcare Management program during any quarter.
