Copy of Research
Faculty and researchers in Biomedical Engineering are involved in a wide range of research projects and topics. Research spans the gamut from basic science bioengineering, to theoretical modeling of systems, to clinical and translational science. The common theme is the focus on medicine and healthcare. Students have the opportunity to work on collaborative projects between research groups if they desire, and many labs have close ties with clinical researchers at OHSU and elsewhere.
Biomedical Optics research is focused on the development of uses for lasers and light in medicine and biology.
