Katie Caba, MHS, PA-C

Katie Caba joined the faculty in November 2005. Katie is a graduate of the Duke Medical Center PA program, and has practiced family medicine for two years.

Katie's responsibilities with the OHSU PA program include recruitment and development of clinical rotation sites for students in Central Oregon.  

 

 

Eric Schuman, MPAS, PA-C

 Eric SchumanEric Schuman joined the faculty in July 2005. 

He has been a practicing PA for 36 years and earned his MPAS from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine. Eric retired after 22 years at  Kaiser Permanente where his clinical responsibilities included family medicine, adult and pediatric neurology. 

A frequent lecturer on headache at national conferences, he also serves as a medical consultant to the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners and volunteers at Salem Free Clinics. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Marion-Polk County Medical Society and the Conference Education Program Committee of the AAPA.  

 

 

Michelle Hurty, PA-C

Michelle Hurty joined the faculty in 2008. 

She graduated with honors from the University of Utah PA program in 1992. Michelle spent the next 15 years working in internal medicine and endocrinology prior to taking time off to be with her family. 

She has been active with the Idaho Association of Physician Assistants as treasurer and regional representative.

 

 

Gina Jones, PA-C

Gina Jones joined the faculty in 2012.  After graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center PA program in 2004, she moved to Medford, Oregon, with her husband.  She worked in family practice at a community health center full-time until 2007, when she joined an endocrinology practice.  

She has served in various capacities for the AAPA, Oregon Society of PAs and American Society of Endocrine PAs.  

Her responsibilities with the OHSU PA program include recruitment and development of clinical rotation sites for students in southern Oregon.
