Claire Hull joined the faculty in April 2006.  As the Clinical Coordinator for the program Claire oversees the curriculum and placement of students in the clinical phase of the program. She also participates in teaching first year students in several courses, including physical diagnosis, patient communication, and clinical medicine tutorials.  She holds an appointment as an assistant professor in the Division of Physician Assistant Education.

After graduating from the Duke University Physician Assistant Program in 1995 with a Master in Health Sciences degree, Claire practiced in a community health clinic on an Indian reservation in rural Oregon for four years. During this time Claire served as a clinical preceptor for OHSU physician assistant students, and also served on the admissions committee for the program.

Since 2000 Claire has enjoyed working full-time in PA education. Prior to joining the OHSU faculty she was the academic coordinator at the University of Alabama at  Birmingham PA Program and the Assistant Director for the Didactic Curriculum at Yale University PA program.  She has received several honors for her commitment to PA education.  Clinically, Claire has worked in family medicine, urgent care, and as a hospitalist.  

In addition to her responsibilities at OHSU, Claire participates as a committee member of the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
