Neurobiology of Disease

As a medical campus, the NGP at OHSU offers many opportunities to study the Neurobiology of Disease from discovery science at the basic end of the spectrum to translational research and clinical trials in neurological and psychiatric diseases. The NGP curriculum introduces first- and second-year students to the neurobiology of disease through a core course that includes both discussions of disease mechanisms as well as exposure to patients and clinical settings.  MD-PhD students often choose a disease-oriented thesis project in the NGP for their research. Faculty working on disease-related topics have appointments in many Centers, basic science departments, and clinical departments across the OHSU campus.
