Program Overview

The Human Investigations Program offers an integrated clinical and translational research education curriculum.

Does the program offer a degree?
There are three tracks, one of which results in a master's degree of clinical research. HIP also offers a certificate in human investigations and the opportunity to take individual courses.  More about the program tracks.

Who can participate?
HIP is open to faculty, clinical and postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in the schools of medicine, nursing and dentistry.  More about eligibility.

What is the curriculum?
Courses are based on nationally-recognized competencies for clinical and translational research.  More about curriculum.

Now accepting applications for Fall 2013

Applications for the HIP certificate and non-degree tracks are now open. MCR applications are open for students currently enrolled in the HIP program.  Prospective students interested in the MCR must complete the first year as a certificate degree candidate before applying to the MCR track.
Application deadline: July 15th
Orientation: September 27th, all day manditory for first year students

Summer Term and beyond for current HIPsters
Are you wondering what is happening this summer or when regular courses start up in the Fall?  Summer term registration begins May 20th and HIP is offering two elective courses.  If you don't plan to take an elective, you have a break until late September.
