Dr. Mooney is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology at OHSU. His research is focused on the development of statistical and computational methods to better understand how DNA variation influences human disease. He is particularly interested in using machine learning techniques to mine integrated data sets (containing both genomic and clinical/environmental variables) with the goal of developing predictive models of disease risk and outcome.
