Kathryn G. Schuff, M.D., M.C.R.

Kathryn Schuff obtained her M.D. degree from the University of New Mexico, then completed Internal Medicine and Endocrinology training at Oregon Health & Science University.  She is currently Associate Professor of Medicine and Associate Director of the Endocrinology Fellowship Program in the Division of Endocrinology, Co-Chair of the OHSU Institutional Review Board and Co-Director of Investigator Support and Integration Services and the Research Navigator programs and Director of the Human Subjects Protection Program in the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute (CTSA) at Oregon Health & Sciences University.  She serves the national  CTSA consortium as Co-Chair of the Regulatory Knowledge Key Function Committee. 

Her research interests include studies of the effects of altered thyroid hormone levels on neurocognition and metabolic function in humans, identification and elucidation of the role of novel thyroid hormone metabolites and the role of molecular diagnostics in thyroid cancer diagnosis, prognosis and management.
