Bonnie Nagel is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience. Dr. Nagel’s research focuses on adolescent brain and cognitive development in healthy and at-risk populations. Her recent work has focused on understanding the development of executive, emotional, and reward-based structural and functional networks in the brain and how perturbations to these systems may result in a heightened vulnerability for psychopathology during the adolescent years. Most recently, she has been working to distinguish neurobiological phenotypes of risk for addiction from consequences of drug and alcohol use during adolescence.
