My lab does translational studies related to inflammation as especially as it relates to the eye.  The lab includes an interactive group of 7 faculty who share an interest in ocular inflammatory diseases and who investigate a range of issues including imaging of leukocyte movement within the eye, characterization of microvascular diversity, gene expression in peripheral blood from patients with uveitis, biological activities of the NLR gene, NOD2, which is associated with an autosomal dominant form of uveitis, and genome wide scanning for uveitis susceptibility genes.
