The Grompe lab has a general interest in therapy for genetic disease using both cell transplantation and gene transfer methodologies. There are two major working groups in the lab, one with a focus on the liver and pancreas, the other with an emphasis on Fanconi's anemia.Since 1991 when I joined the faculty at OHSU, 7 students have earned their Ph.D. degrees in my lab and there currently are 3 students, all in the early stages of their graduate careers.
