Transcripts from Foreign Institutions
OHSU strongly encourages all applicants with foreign degrees to obtain a World Education Service (WES) ICAP course-by-course credential evaluation.  Please consult WES's website for instructions  Applicants are responsible for the full cost of this service. Please contact the program to see if the WES ICAP is required during the application process.

All foreign applicants for whom English is not a native language must take the one of these two tests:
Test for English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the English Language Testing System (IELTS)

What Institution code is used for the TOEFL?

What minimum TOEFL score is required?
Please check directly with the program.

If I take the TOEFL exam twice, how are the scores evaluated?
The most recent scores are used for evaluation.

Can the TOEFL score requirement be waived?
If you have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited US Institution, the TOEFL requirement will be waived.

My TOEFL score has expired. Can I have it waived?
Waivers are granted on the above criteria.  If the above criteria is not met, the test must be retaken.

Can I have a friend or relative check my status?
Applicants may review their application status via the Online Application System. If further assistance is required we are only able to release information to the applicant.

I am applying from overseas, can a relative/friend residing in the USA pay my application fee by check?
Checks cannot be accepted for application fees. The application fee is paid on-line during the application process.

Are the deadlines for International Students the same as domestic students?
Do you accept applications after the deadline?
How are international students interviewed?
