SOM 2016 Outstanding Masters Thesis Award

Elizabeth Massey, one of our recent MSCN graduates, did an amazing amount of work on her thesis, "Altered Activities and Shame Among Children Reporting Food Insecurity in Rural Oregon." With support and guidance from her mentor, Dr. Elizabeth Adams, as well as the rest of her thesis advisory committee (Drs. Diane Stadler, Joyanna Hansen, and Jennifer Bernal) Liz completed and submitted her thesis for binding on March 10, 2016. Since then she has also presented her poster at the joint OAND/WSAND 2016 Educational Conference, as well as OHSU's Research Week. She was also nominated for and won OHSU's School of Medicine 2016 Outstanding Master's Thesis Award, which will be presented to her at the SOM Awards Ceremony at the end of May. We are incredibly proud of Liz's hard work and dedication.

You can view Liz's poster in-person by visiting the second floor of Gaines Hall!
