OHSU

International Students

Our program admits students with bachelors in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited program with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or students who are Registered Dietitians.

1.If you have a degree in nutrition from a different country, you must have the degree certified as equivalent to an accredited program here in the US. The website about this process is: http://www.eatright.org/students/getstarted/international.aspx

The website lists a variety of agencies that can verify your degree. You can choose from any of these agencies. They will need your transcripts, and syllabi from the courses you took.

It would be best to pick an agency and get in touch with them about what documentation they need.

2.GRE is required for all graduate programs at our University. Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical Writing GRE scores of 153 (500 old scale), 148 (600 old scale) and 4.5 or above, respectively, will generally be considered acceptable for admission.  Applicants with scores below those levels may still be considered dependent upon other application strengths; however those will require special review by the admissions committee.

Please note the institutional code for OHSU is 4865 when submitting your GRE scores to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).

3.The TOEFL is required for all International Students who do not speak English as a native language and don't have a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a US Institution. In general, the Graduate Programs in Human Nutrition required scores for admission are 600 paper-based, 250 computer based, and 100 internet-based.

4. We do not provide conditional acceptance to the program. There is an admissions committee that reviews the applications and decides on admissions. They generally do not consider incomplete applications.
