Dr. Sharff receives resident paper of the year award
Congratulations to Katie Sharff, MD, recipient of the School of Medicine Alumni Association Resident Paper of the Year award! Dr. Sharff presented May 10 during OHSU Research Week on her paper, “Safe and Effective Treatment of High-Risk and Geographically Isolated Patients Reciving Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT).”

Dr. Sharff and Postdoctoral Paper of the Year winner Joe Aslan, PhD, were also acknowledged and each awarded a $500 cash prize at the Alumni Association dinner and awards presentation May 11. “We are pleased to recognize these two individuals who are just starting what we believe will be outstanding careers,” said Alumni Council President and former School of Medicine Dean John Kendall, MD, who presented the awards.
Dr. Sharff completed her residency in 2011, and is now an OHSU fellow in infectious disease.
