Dr. Rosenbaum is co-recipient of the Cless Best of the Best Award Share This OHSU Content

Dr. RosenbaumJames Rosenbaum, MD, Professor, Department of Ophthalmology, has been selected to be the co-recipient of the Cless Best of the Best Award for his outstanding lecture at the 2011 ARVO annual meeting. ARVO is the largest vision research organization in the world. He will share the award with Dr. Daniel Martin, Chair of the Cole Eye Institute.

The program, The Cless Best of the Best Award, was established in 2007 by a generous gift from the Cless Family Foundation to the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) Department of Ophthalmology.  The goal of the award is to encourage the dissemination of significant research in vision and ophthalmology by recognizing the best talks given by researchers who are advancing ophthalmologic care through basic and clinical research.

Past winners include: Ilene Gipson, PhD, Professor of Ophthalmology, Harvard Medical School; the late Judah Folkman, MD, Andrus Professor of Pediatric Surgery and Professor of Cell, Biology Harvard Medical School; Dr Lois Smith, Professor of Ophthalmology, Harvard Medical School; Dr  John Guy, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute; Dr Jean Bennett, U. Penn., Dr Joe Hollyfield, Cole Eye Institute and Dr Jayakrishna Ambati, University of Kentucky
