Dr. Liu, Class of '07, named new physician member of the AAFP Board of Directors. Share This OHSU Content

Robyn Liu, MD ‘07, MPH, FAAFP, a family physician in Portland, Ore., has been elected the New Physician member of the American Academy of Family Physicians Board of Directors. The AAFP represents 100,300 physicians and medical students nationwide. Liu was elected to a one-year term by the New Physician Constituency during the AAFP National Conference of Special Constituencies and was confirmed by the AAFP’s governing body, the Congress of Delegates.

A new physician is a doctor in his or her first seven years of practice following residency completion. As the new physician member of the AAFP Board of Directors, Dr. Liu will represent the interests and opinions of the New Physician Constituency to the AAFP Board of Directors and the Congress of Delegates. She also will advocate on behalf of family physicians and patients nationwide to inspire positive change in the U.S. health care system.

A cum laude graduate from the Harvard University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Liu completed her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. In 2007, she completed a combined residency in family medicine and preventive medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University and her master of public health at Portland State University College of Urban and Public Affairs.
