Emily Jacobsen, MPAS, PA-C was recently recognized as the 2012 recipient of the Karen Whitaker Knapp Service Award.
This award is in honor of Karen Whitaker Knapp who, as Director of the Oregon Office of Rural Health, was instrumental in establishing the OHSU Physician Assistant Program and in supporting Physician Assistant practice in the state.
This award is given in recognition of physician assistants whose clinical careers reflect a commitment to the rural and medically underserved communities of Oregon.
This was awarded to Emily Jacobsen, MPAS, PA-C for her commitment to the care of her patients at Richmond Clinic and, as an OHSU Physician Assistant Program graduate, for her contribution as a role model, mentor and clinical preceptor for the students of the OHSU Physician Assistant Program.
Emily has a joint appointment with OHSU Family Medicine and the OHSU Physician Assistant Program.
